Equality screening of policies (Northern Ireland)
As part of its commitments under its Equality Scheme (as required by Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998) Ofcom has carried out an initial equality screening of its policies relating to Northern Ireland. The purpose of this exercise has been to decide which of its policies have equality implications and which should be subject to formal impact assessments.
Ofcom is committed to consulting on its policies with those affected by them and with those with an interest in them. It therefore welcomes any comments on the screening of its policies. All parties who were consulted on Ofcom’s draft Equality Scheme will be sent a copy of the Screening consultation document.
