The Committee assists the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR) in identifying and nominating non-executive members to fill Board vacancies as and when they arise. The Committee is responsible for the process for appointing executive members to the Board. The Committee is responsible for evaluating the performance of Board members and making recommendations to DBERR and DCMS concerning reappointments of non-executive members when appropriate. The Committee is responsible for ensuring that non executive Board members receive an appropriate briefing and meetings with relevant Ofcom colleagues.

The Committee meets as and when required. All meetings take place at Ofcom’s offices in London.
