Notes 26th Meeting 11 July 2006
Chairman’s Introduction
1. The Chairman welcomed Members to the 26th meeting of the Radio Licensing Committee. All members were present throughout with the exception of Peter Bury who had given his apologies. Philip Graf, Chairman of the Content Board was present for and on behalf of the Content Board. Other Ofcom colleagues were also present throughout or attended for part of the meeting:
Local commercial radio licence award: Kingston-upon-Hull
2. The Radio Licensing Committee agreed to maintain its decision made on 6th July 2006 to award the local commercial radio licence to Planet Broadcasting Company Limited (KCFM 99.9), having taken into account certain further evidence relating to one of the applications for that licence (Soul City) that was inadvertently not taken into account in the briefing paper put to the Radio Licensing Committee on 6 July. The Committee agreed that the statement explaining the factors which led the Committee to its decision would be published in the near future.
