Ofcom in Northern Ireland
Introduction
The Ofcom team in Belfast represents Ofcom in Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland in Ofcom.
We ensure that we keep in touch with the views and opinions of citizens and consumers, the regulated industries and stakeholders more generally in Northern Ireland and factor these into our policy and decision making.
Having an office in Northern Ireland allows us to better understand the region’s particular needs and concerns – the availability and take-up of broadband and mobile roaming along the border are just two examples.
The experience and expertise of Ofcom’s Advisory Committee for Northern Ireland and its Content Board and Communications Consumer Panel members for Northern Ireland also feeds into our work.
