Radio interference/reception problems

Problems with ‘pirate’ radio station interference

Illegal broadcasting is a criminal offence. So-called ‘pirate’ radio stations interfere with vital safety of life services such as the fire service, police, ambulance, search and rescue and air traffic control. They also interfere with legitimate radio stations enjoyed by millions of people.

Please tell us what happened. It is important you give us as much information as possible.

When you’ve completed the form you’ll be given a reference number - please keep this somewhere safe if you need to contact us again.

Programme Output Interference

If you are an Ofcom radio broadcasting licensee and wish to complain about interference to your programme output, please do not use this form. Instead, please use the option below.

You can also ask our specialist field engineers to investigate. However, please note that under certain circumstances we may need to charge for our engineers’ time.
