Ofcom has re-accredited two price comparison sites which allow consumers to search for cheaper deals.
Both Broadband Choices and Simplifydigital have had their price comparison calculators accredited for the second year running.
Simplifydigital compares fixed line, digital TV and broadband services, while Broadband Choices compares broadband services.
Price Accreditation
The Ofcom Price Accreditation Scheme ensures that any accredited site provides consumers with prices that are accurate, comprehensive, up to date and accessible.
Currently three sites have been accredited by the scheme – Broadband Choices and Simplifydigital, as well as BillMonitor, which was first accredited in May this year.
BillMonitor is the first mobile price comparison service to have their calculator accredited by Ofcom and allows consumers to get cheaper mobile phone deals by monitoring their online bills.
Rigorous audit
All three were put through a rigorous independent audit so that consumers can be confident they’re being offered the best information.
We also welcome applications for accreditation from other price comparison companies.
