Linked Order Reference Number (LORN) – Additional details
Where you have ordered both a telephone & broadband service, from different suppliers both of which use the ‘Linked Orders Process’, you will have been provided with a LORN, (an alpha numeric code) from your first supplier. You will then need to retain the LORN and give to your second provider when ordering service. The purpose and function of the LORN is to ensure that both the telephone and broadband orders are linked and matched for the purposes of delivery, ideally on the same day. Where the telephone service is delivered earlier with your agreement, the corresponding broadband order will be delivered shortly after.
The LORN is always provided by the first supplier you approach and can be generated by either the telephone or the broadband supplier.
If you have chosen the same supplier for both services, you will not need a LORN as the supplier will link the 2 orders directly.
The LORN format is alphanumeric up to 10 characters long
