David Stewart’s Investigations Team carries out Ofcom’s work to enforce competition law, to resolve disputes (for example, concerning access and interconnection), to enforce regulatory rules and to act to protect consumers from unfair or illegal practices across the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors in the UK. He joined Ofcom in April 2005 after a number of roles in the international and UK telecoms industries, including as Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs for Cable & Wireless ‘national telecos’ division and Director of Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy for Energis Communications.
