Office of the Independent Adjudicator (CRR) appoints Richard Baker as Deputy

The Office of the independent Adjudicator for the Contract Rights Renewal (CRR) remedy, established to protect the interests of the advertising community in dealing with ITV plc as a consequence of the merger between Carlton and Granada, has appointed Richard Baker as Deputy to the Adjudicator, Robert Ditcham.

Richard Baker has more than 12 years of television airtime trading experience. He began his career at ITV with the saleshouse TSMS in 1994. He spent ten years at Initiative Ltd where he was the TV Director for Unilever. Prior to joining the Office of the Adjudicator he was Head of TV Trading at Brand Connection Ltd.

The independent Adjudicator Robert Ditcham said: "Richard has a first class understanding of the television marketplace and his appointment will further strengthen the Office going forwards."
