DOS-Resistant Internet Working Group
The Cambridge-MIT Institute: Communications Innovation Institute (CII)DOS-Resistant Internet Working Group
14 January 2005
Peter Ingram, Chief Technology Officer, Ofcom
Denial-of-Service
Thanks Jon, and thank you for the opportunity to address the working group.
Throughout 2004, at this point in my presentations, I would usually introduce Ofcom as the new regulator and competition authority for the UK’s converged communications industry, with responsibilities across television, radio, telecommunications and the management of the radio spectrum.
However, now that we are into 2005 and Ofcom is one year old, I guess I should
at least drop the word ‘new’, and maybe even dispense with the introduction
altogether, since many of you will now be familiar with who we are and what
we do.
