Updated June 2008

In July 2006 we announced details of how we would invite applications for community radio licences in our second round of licensing. It included a list of seven UK regions, the last of which was ‘east and southeast England, including London’. We have now decided to divide this region into two. This is to enable us to complete a separate piece of work examining frequency availability in London.

We therefore intend to invite applications for the east and southeast of England, excluding the Greater London area, at the end of August 2008. We will update this timetable with dates for Greater London (and other areas within the M25) in due course.
