Applications for Radio Multiplex Licence: Surrey and Northern Sussex
Ofcom has received one application for the Surrey and Northern Sussex local digital radio multiplex licence.

MuxCo Surrey & Northern Sussex Limited is proposing to provide seven local digital sound programme services, in addition to BBC Southern Counties Radio, as follows:

MuxCo Surrey & Northern Sussex Limited also proposes to provide "a wide selection of speech and music podcasts provided by a range of companies".
MuxCo Surrey & Northern Sussex Limited proposes to commence its service with all seven local digital sound programme services by July 2009, using a network of four transmitters which it estimates will provide total 'outdoor' coverage of 87.4% of the adult (aged 15+) population of the licensed area.
This local radio multiplex will include capacity reserved for the transmission in digital form of BBC Southern Counties Radio.
The full application for this licence will be published on the Ofcom website shortly. Ofcom seeks views on the application by 21 April 2008.
