UHF2 now available for Common Base Station (CBS)
Business Radio has decided to open up UHF2 spectrum (450 – 470 MHz) for new CBS assignments as from the 3rd December 2007. This band has not previously been available to CBS operators.
This decision follows the announcement earlier this year that the UHF1 band has been re-opened for CBS use. Applications for assignments in the 450 – 470 MHz range can be considered throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland, unlike UHF1 which is only available in the major conurbations of England, Scotland & Wales.
The CBS licence category will be varied to the new Business Radio Technically Assigned licence product when it becomes available.
Customers should consult with Business Radio on potential availability before purchase of any equipment that is limited to 450 – 470 MHz. Please email Business Radio using the email address listed in Contact Information or call 0207 981 3108.
