Site Clearance policy

Please note that from the 31st August 2007, Business Radio in line with Ofcom policy (http://www.ofcom.org.uk/radiocomms/isu/fresitecoord/) will no longer require licence applications to go through a site clearance process.

Assessment of an application will still take into account the proposed antenna height or erp and where submitted direction or downtilt. As part of the licence application process you may receive communication from Ofcom asking you to amend one or more of the proposed parameters to ensure that the installation does not cause undue interference to existing licensees.

If you have any questions about the change in Ofcom policy please contact Mike Low, call 020 7981 3110 or email mike.low@ofcom.org.uk. For Business Radio you can call 0207 981 3143 or email businessradio@ofcom.org.uk.
