Changes to Point to Point Fixed Links Licence
In the next few months Ofcom is planning to make changes to all fixed-link licences.
There are two changes proposed:
Firstly, Ofcom intend to put all licences on the same terms and conditions. The main difference will be that all point-to-point fixed-link licences, which Ofcom made tradable in 2004, will become subject to a general five-year notice period. This will increase security of tenure compared with previous licence conditions.
As this is a formal variation in licence terms, Ofcom have sent a notice of variation to all existing licensees, at the registered licence address, with an information pack consisting of a copy of the current published General Licence Conditions, OF 195.1, and the proposed new schedule 1 for the point-to-point fixed-link licence. The closing date for any comments you may have on these changes is 18 May 2007.
