Ofcom's DSL Fact Sheet

March 2004

Future Ofcom Market Intelligence and Research Reports

This report is based on methodology and procedures which were established by Oftel.

In the interests of ensuring continued access to users of the latest available information Ofcom is publishing this report in its existing form.

However, Ofcom is currently in the process of reviewing its market research and intelligence functions to ensure that it has access to all relevant data sources.

Ofcom is also developing new internal and external reporting processes for these data to ensure that colleagues and stakeholders have access to all relevant information on communications markets in the UK and abroad. This is consistent with ensuring that the Ofcom decision making process remains evidence based and transparent to stakeholders.

This report will be the last in this particular format although it is likely that the majority of the data in this report will continue to be available is some form.

Ofcom would welcome views from users as to how the data in this and other legacy regulator reports should be presented going forward together with any views as to the scope, frequency and timeliness of future external outputs.

Ofcom intends that the new reporting procedures will be in place by July 2004.
