Welcome to the web site for
the Advisory Committees on Telecommunications
These committees give advice to OFTEL, the
government body which regulates telecommunications in the UK. The aim is to ensure
that the regulator and the companies supplying telecoms networks, services, and equipment,
take account of the needs of all users. The committees give particular emphasis to the needs of those
consumers with least power in the market - people on low incomes or in rural areas, small
businesses, and people who are elderly or disabled.
Use the buttons below or the quickfinder
above for links to full information on the work of each committee.
Use the menu above for background
information, links to other sites, details of publications. and how to contact us.
If you have a complaint or enquiry about a
telecommunications matter, you should contact your operator first and, if they cannot
help, see our complaints and
enquiries page for what to do next.
We are always keen to have feedback on our work.
Let us have your views and consumer concerns on anything to do with telecommunications.
