Biographical note

Heather Clayton became Director of Investigations in July 2002 after spending 3 years working in Oftel's policy directorate.

Career

June 1999 - May 2002

Project manager and policy adviser, Oftel. Project manager for various major projects including implementing the new EU Directives and the 2000/01 mobile market review, which considered the future regulation of the UK mobile operators.

July 1997 - June 1999

Telecommunications consultant, KPMG. Major projects included: telecommunications regulation and competition for various clients; due diligence for various telecommunications companies from large fixed and satellite communications companies to small resellers; and a 10 month secondment to the ODTR to assist with the liberalisation of the Irish telecommunications sector.

January 1996 - July 1997

Pricing analyst, Cable and Wireless (then Videotron), Responsible for all pricing, for all products, for all types of customers from major corporate clients to residential.

May 1996 - December 1996

Telecommunications market analyst, Dun and Bradstreet (Dataquest).
