Biographical note

Sebastian Farr joined Oftel in February 1998. He is Head of Oftel's Legal group, which consists of 11 lawyers.

Career

He qualified at the Bar in 1981, and after practising at the Common Law Bar, he moved to Brussels where he specialised in EU competition and trade law for 10 years. Whilst there, he joined the international law firm Simmons & Simmons in which he became a partner, running the EU practice of the firm's Brussels office.

He is the author of a number of books on European law, most recently EU Communications Law which he co-authored with Vanessa Oakley, a senior legal adviser at Oftel (published September 2002, Palladian Law Publishing Limited).
