Changes to
Mobile Price Plans / Tariff Packages
Mobile service
providers, like any other commercial concern, from time to time
may change the price they charge for their services. This is a commercial
decision for the service provider concerned (Oftel has a role in
regulating BT's standard prices and charges, but not any other telephone
company).
Most contracts require that a period of notice is given before any
price change are applied. There is competition in the mobile market
and consumers need to see which servcie provider best meets their
needs. Contracts
may also allow customers to take their handset (and mobile number)
to another service provider (subject to certain criteria being met)
if they are unhappy about the price changes
(If you have
been following the steps to contact Oftel and this FAQ has not helped
then proceed to Step
3)
