of BT provided an update on the meeting that took place on October
17th to discuss the BT POLO rates.
BT confirmed
that it had reduced its retention, however, it was unable to provide
a detailed overview of the costs that were currently covered in
their call retention.
BT confirmed
that they have based their retention on an average 40 second call
duration.

Terms of Reference of Phase II Group
Parties were
invited to comment on the proposed terms of reference for Phase
II. No comments were given and the terms were therefore agreed
by the group.
- Statement
of Requirement for Billing Phase II Solution
Ian Watson
of BT Retail provided a draft phase II billing requirement paper
for review by the Group. A number of proposed enhancements are
being considered and there was an extensive debate on the most
appropriate way to move this forward.

It was agreed
that a small sub group would be established to agree common requirements.
A key consideration will be how to identify the call originating
network/retail SP. It is intended that the group will produce
a SOR which can then be provided to call originating networks/retail
SP's for consideration. It was agreed that Sue Coxon of Accurate
Billing Solutions would chair this sub-group.
