Following on from the DTI workshop held on 5 June 2001, an industry group has been established to address ENUM related issues within the UK. Tony Holmes of BT chairs the group. Its initial task will be to propose options on how ENUM could be implemented in the UK as well as identify related issues that may need further consideration by government. The international context of the work is RFC 2916, currently under discussion in the ITU and ISOC.
