The Freephone
Workshop has been created to
allow consumers,
telecoms operators, and service providers to contribute to discussions
on commercial issues relevant to future numbering arrangements for
freephone. The setting up of the Workshop was announced in
Oftel's Statement on Developing
Numbering Administration and Freephone Numbers published on
13 May 1999.
The chairman
was appointed by Oftel. Oftel provides the Secretariat functions.
