The main UK telecoms companies ( except for mobile companies) have published information allowing customers to compare the quality of service they provide. Oftel and consumer groups have worked with the telecoms companies to develop common definitions of performance indicators relating to quality of service of telecoms that are being reported here.

Previous editions of the comparisons were published by Oftel on behalf of the industry. The industry has now taken responsibility for publication itself while maintaining the same common definitions and audit processes as before. Copies are available from Lorien plc who have been appointed by the telecoms companies as the independent 3rd party for publication of these documents.
