BT's charges for the orignation of DQ118 calls
Complainant:
Cable
& Wireless (C&W)
Complaint against: BT
Case opened: 11 February 2003
Issue: BT's charges for the origination of DQ118 calls
Relevant instrument: Regulation 6(6) of the Interconnection
Regulations 1997
C&W has
submitted a dispute to Oftel concerning BT's retention for the
origination of DQ118 calls.
C&W has
argued that BT's charges to operators for the origination of DQ118
calls do not reflect the principle of cost-orientation. Furthermore,
C&W considers that no reasons have been given by BT to justify
the amount retained by BT for the origination of DQ118 calls and
the amount retained for NTS calls. C&W has requested that
Oftel resolve this dispute by ensuring that BT recovers appropriate
costs only.
Oftel is currently
considering the matter.
