In May 2002, Oftel published its statement on BT's marketing of Internet services and use of joint billing. At the same time, Oftel indicated that it would formally review the statement by November 2002. On 22 October 2002, Oftel received a complaint from Freeserve.com plc which touches directly on the policies set out in the statement. Given that overlap, Oftel considers that it is desirable for the review of the statement to proceed in parallel with the investigation of Freeserve's complaint. As a result, Oftel is extending the deadline for any further representations on the policies set out in the statement to 5pm on 10 January 2003.
