In order to allow for possible delays to the post over the Christmas period, and to ensure that adequate time is allowed for representations, Oftel is extending the period for representations on the Notices of determinations that Vodafone and BTCellnet have Market Influence under Condition 56 of their respective licences, December 2000. Accordingly, the period for representations will close on Monday 5 February 2001. Any person who has already responded may submit additional representations.

Any non-confidential representations that are made by interested parties will be available for public inspection in Oftel’s Research and Intelligence Unit on 6 February 2001. There will then be a further 28-day period, beginning on 7 February 2001 and closing on 6 March 2001, to allow interested parties to make observations on all published representations.

At the end of that 28-day period, having considered all representations and observations the Director General will, if appropriate, publish a draft determination. All interested parties will have a further 14-day period to comment on the draft determination. The Director General will consider all comments and inform Vodafone and BTCellnet of his final decision at the expiry of that period.
