TelecomsAdvice in Partnership with UK Online for business

How can small business get the most from telecoms services and products? What’s the best way to expand into e-commerce?

These are just some of the questions that www.telecomsadvice.org.uk is helping small business answer.

An initiative of the Oftel-chaired Small Business Task Force, the site launched in August 2000 and has received a very favourable response from the small business community and the media. In recognition of the website’s benefit to small business, TelecomsAdvice has been awarded partnership status with the DTI’s ‘UK Online for Business’ service.

Always looking to improve the site, Oftel recently commissioned market research amongst small businesses and small business advisers. The feedback from this study will be used to ensure the site remains a useful and relevant tool for the small business community.

TelecomsAdvice exhibited at the British Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Conference in March and received a very positive response.

TelecomsAdvice is continuing to build up partnerships and links with small business bodies and other relevant organisations and will continue to explore new ways to help small business take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Internet and e-commerce.
