Oftel's new Director of Regulatory Policy, Philip Rutnam, took up post on 20 May.

Philip has come to Oftel from the Treasury, which he joined in 1987.

Philip's most recent post was as Head of the Enterprise Team in the Treasury, responsible for oversight of the Treasury's interests in business and enterprise.

Philip has a broad experience of privatisation and sectoral regulation, including time spent in private sector corporate finance with Morgan Stanley.

Philip succeeds Chris Kenny who is now Oftel's Director of Compliance.
