Draft Terms Of Reference For The 450-470 MHz Realignment Project Industry Working Group

The group will consider the implications of the progress of the project from a user perspective providing detail on:

A possible UK band plan

Difficulties of achieving the above

Equipment issues

Implementation and time scale issues.

The group is not purely a consultative group but rather an integral part of the implementation process reporting its findings to, and meeting at least as regularly as, the Project Board.

The main purpose of the group is to provide a realistic assessment of Agency objectives. Relating the ideals of the implementation to the realities of the industrial sector.

The objective of the group is to achieve general agreement on a revised band plan.

The realignment of the band will bring the full benefits of harmonisation with our European neighbours and lead to a more efficient use of the spectrum within the band.
