International Regulations

Despite the disruption caused by the bomb at South Quay 3 and the initial problems in settling into New King's Beam House, the International Regulations Unit has managed to maintain a satisfactory level of service to all its customers during 1996/97. To maintain its position in the international co-ordination area it was necessary to enlist the support of the ITU who informed the international community of the Agency's plight and asked for understanding of any inability to respond to co-ordination requests in the required timeframe. This allowed the Unit to maintain the necessary level of protection to services until normal service could be resumed.
