To reiterate its commitment to best practice in its working with business customers, the
Radiocommunications Agency has today adopted the Enforcement Concordat.
The Enforcement Concordat was launched on 5 March last year as part of a Government
initiative to improve regulatory services to business.
It provides for central and local government, in consultation with business and other
relevant interested parties, including technical experts, to draw up standards of service
and performance which business and the public can expect to receive.
The Radiocommunications Agency has previously established a Code of Practice for working
with business and also published a Charter Statement under the Citizen's Charter.
Notes For Editors
1. The Enforcement Concordat was developed by a cross departmental ministerial group
called Access Business under the chairmanship of Peter Kilfoyle, Minister for Public
Service at the Cabinet Office, in conjunction with central and local government, consumer
groups and business.
2. The Radiocommunications Agency is an Executive Agency of the Department of Trade and
Industry is responsible for managing civil use of the radio spectrum.
3. Copies of the Radiocommunications Agency's Citizen's Charter Statement and Code of
Practice for working with business are available from the Agency's library.
