Talking About The Radio Spectrum |
![]()
DTI Press Release - 11 October 2000
The radio spectrum, upon which all wireless communication - from broadcasting
to mobile phones to access to the emergency services - all depends, will be
the subject of discussion at conferences around the country during October and
November. Representatives from all these areas, plus telecommunications manufacturers
and a sprinkling of committed amateurs and marine users, will be represented.
They will hear from the Radiocommunications Agency - the Government body that
regulates the use of the radio spectrum in the UK - about changes under way
and planned for what is a vital, but limited, natural resource. For more information
about the conference and the work of the Radiocommunications Agency, visit http://www.radio.gov.uk
or call the Event Office on 020 7720 4411.
