Notes for editors

  1. The Radiocommunications Agency is an executive agency of the Department of Trade and Industry, responsible for licensing civil use of the radio spectrum in the UK.
  2. A paging system is a cost-effective method for transmitting one-way and short two-way messages. Each pager within a system has its own unique code, and when the pager caller sends a coded transmission it alerts the bearer by means of an audible tone, a light and/or a vibration or a short voice message.
