Wireless Telegraphy Act Licence Fees

April 2002

The Radiocommunications Agency today announces publication in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man newspapers proposals to introduce new licence fees levels in the following sectors from July 2002:-

• Private Mobile Radio Road Construction
• Channel Islands and Isle in Man Cellular Telephone Operator
• Common Base Station Operator
• Public Mobile Operator
• Permanent Earth Stations
• Transportable Earth Stations
• Scanning Telemetry
• Point-to-Point fixed links in Congested Areas
• Point-to-Point fixed links in Non-Congested Areas

New licence classes are also proposed in the following sectors from July 2002:-

• Programme Making and Special Events
• Private Business Radio
• Maritime
