| Unco-ordinated Links | £50 for each 58 GHz fixed link | Yearly |
| Fixed point-to-point links, to fixed point-to-multi-point links, are now subject to spectrum prices. | ||
| Spectrum pricing means that fee calculations are based on a number of factors including; | ||
| - Bandwidth used; | ||
| - Geographical location; | ||
| - The amount of congestion in the spectrum concerned. | ||
| To calculate the fee for a particular type of fixed link frequency band, please see the tables below which define the fees payable in congested (Table C) and un-congested areas (Table D) and the national grid references (Table E) that define what are congested areas. | ||
| Check the grid reference of your operational area against Table E. If your link starts or finishes in one of these areas, you will pay the fee set out in Table C. If your grid reference does not appear in that table, you would pay the non-congested rate as set out in Table D. | ||
| Licence class | Variable sums | Interval of time for payment |
| Point-to-Point Fixed Links |
For each co-ordinated bi-directional fixed link- On issue of the licence and on each anniversary of the issue of the licence, the appropriate sum payable in accordance with Table C as determined by the frequency band, limits of bandwidth per fixed link, the minimum data bit rate (having regard to the utilisation of spectrally efficient technology) and whether the fixed link is located in a congested or non-congested area, provided that 50 per cent of this sum is payable on the addition to the licence after the issue or renewal of the licence of a second link where two links are operating co-channel and cross-polar |
Yearly |
|
For each uni-directional fixed link 75 per cent of the above prescribed sum for the co-ordinated bi-directional fixed link On the addition of a co-ordinated bi-directional or uni-directional fixed link to the licence after the issue or renewal of the licence, such sum as represents one-twelfth of the above prescribed sum on the issue or renewal of the licence, as the case may be, multiplied by the number of complete calendar months from the addition of the link to the next anniversary of the issue of the licence |
Yearly | |
|
For each temporary co-ordinated bi-directional or None uni-directional fixed link, the above prescribed sum on issue of the licence |
None | |
|
Point-to-multi-point Services 31.00 to 31.80 GHz |
Point-to-multi-point On issue of the licence and on each anniversary of the issue of the licence £720 for each hub with a bandwidth not exceeding 56 MHz £885 for each hub with a bandwidth not exceeding 140 MHz £1,030 for each hub with a bandwidth not exceeding 250 MHz £1,155 for each hub with a bandwidth not exceeding 308 MHz On the addition of each hub to the licence after the issue or renewal of the licence, such sum as represents one-twelfth of the prescribed sum on the issue or renewal of the licence, as the case may be, multiplied by the number of complete calendar months from the addition of the hub to the next anniversary of the issue of the licence |
Yearly |
| Scanning Telemetry | For each channel used at a base station which is not subject to national channel arrangements £410 | Yearly |
| For each 2 x 12.5 kHz national channel £7,920 | Yearly |
