Broadband Fixed Wireless Access - Technical Sub-Group
Terms of Reference

The Broadband Fixed Wireless Access Technical Sub Group (BFWAtg) will report, and provide technical advice into the Broadband Fixed Wireless Access Consultative Group to assist in the formulation of 28GHz and 40GHz BFWA licence packages and award strategy. As with all work of the Agency due regard will be given to developments both nationally and internationally regarding equipment standardisation, radio spectrum engineering and frequency management.

Advice will include but not be limited to:

* Impact of the characteristics of anticipated BWA technology on assignment strategy and licence packaging.
* Measures to ensure successful co-existence between eventual licence holders both between themselves and with other services in the frequency bands.

Membership

As detailed for the BFWACG.

Reporting

Primarily the group will report directly into the BFWACG. In addition the group will report for information purposes to the more widely scoped RA Fixed Wireless Access Consultative Committee (FWACC) and as appropriate into preparatory meetings regarding CEPT/ETSI/ITU activities.

Documentation

As far as is practicable, meeting documents will be distributed by e-mail up to 2 working days prior to the meeting and attendees will be expected to supply their own copies for use in the meetings.

 Working Practice

Correspondence between the meetings is encouraged in order to avoid lengthy discussion in the limited time available during the meetings.
