Wireless Access Auction of Spectrum at 28GHz

The Agency invites notifications of interest from companies who are considering bidding in the auction of licences for Broadband Fixed Wireless Access at 28 GHz.
The Agency’s preparations for the auction are well advanced. It intends to invite applications in early September and begin the auction in October. Before finalising its arrangements for running the auction it would like an indication of the number of bidders. This will help ensure that the Agency and its auction system will be capable of handling the likely level of interest.
Companies who are considering participating in the auction are therefore requested to notify the Agency of their interest. They need only state their intention, without providing further information. Their notification will be treated by the Agency as confidential. It will place no obligation on the company to participate in the auction. Neither will a company who omits to notify the Agency be prevented, for that reason, from entering the auction.
The Agency would like to receive notifications, if possible, by 26 July. Notification should be sent by e-mail to joe.sonke@ra.gsi.gov.uk.
