Using Stated Preference to Estimate Consumer Surplus in the Radio Communication Sector |
Dr John Bates is an Economic Consultant who has written extensively on discrete
choice and econometric estimation of stated preference models.
Dr George Terzis is a Managing Consultant at MVA with extensive experience
of managing stated preference studies, largely in the transport field, and developing
computer-assisted personal interviewing programs. He was Project Manager for
the RA surveys of TV viewers and radio listeners.
John Swanson is an Associate of Steer Davies Gleave with special responsibility
for new product development, including most noticeably stated preference.
Professor Andrew Daly is
a Director of Hague Consulting Group and Visiting Professor at the Institute
of Transport Studies, University of Leeds. He is well known for his work on
demand modelling and is the author of the ALOGIT package for discrete choice
logit models.
Professor Martin Cave is Vice-Principal of Brunel University, a Member of
the Competition Commission and a member of the Spectrum Management Advisory
Group. His research interests include regulatory economics and the communications
industry.
Professor Stephen Creigh-Tyte is Chief Economist at the Department of Culture
Media and Sport and Visiting Professor at the University of Durham.
Peter Culham is Chief Economist at the Office of Telecommunications (OFTEL).
Dr Michael Hodson is Head of Economics and Statistics at the UK Radiocommunications
Agency and has charge of the RA economics research programme.
Mike Mann is Senior Economic Adviser at the Department of the Environment,
Transport and the Regions in charge of aviation and maritime economics.
