Biographical Notes |
John Bates is a mathematical economist, specialising in transport problems, and has worked as an independent consultant for the last 28 years. He has been at the forefront of transportation demand modelling, has considerable expertise in evaluation methodology, and has been a leading figure in the development of stated preference techniques within the transport field.
John Swanson is an Associate with the transport planning consultancy Steer Davies Gleave. He is head of the company's R&D group, with responsibility for the development of new products and techniques. He has worked in Stated Preference in transport for 15 years, with wide experience of applying the technique. His academic training was in mathematics and operational research, and prior to joining Steer Davies Gleeve he worked with London Transport and the British Airports Authority.
Andrew Daly is Modelling Director
of RAND Europe, which now incorporates Hague Consulting Group, and Visiting
Professor at the Institute for Transport Studies at Leeds University. He has
researched and published extensively over 30 years on consumer choice, primarily
in the transport sector.
