Data on PMR Group

The objective of Data on PMR Group is to provide a technical working forum for technical issues concerning Private Business Radio. In addition the main areas for discussion are:

Review the RA licensing practices for allowing Data over PMR.
Review the Spectrum allocation for data on PMR.
Write Codes of Practices where required to facilitate the fair and polite use of the spectrum.
Review IR2008 - policy, spectrum, technology and licensing.
Review new Standards and assist in the delivery of policy and licensing.
Review shared access protocols.

PMR Speech and Data Services

PMR Speech and Data Services are licensed on particular channels known as Data Dominant (see channel list), where the channel access must be at least as efficient as MPT1379. Information sheet RA 254, provides information on data services on shared PMR channels.
