Summary

This report details the work carried out to assess current short range receiving devices and the electromagnetic environment to which they are currently subjected. This work was done with a view to enhancing the understanding as to why some devices fail to give reliable operation while others show no sign of impairment. Then, based upon understanding of the receivers themselves and the radio environment, proposals are made for minimum receiver performance specifications and methods to enhance receiver performance.
