Investigation into the Implementation of Digital Techniques for Radiomicrophones |
With increasing pressure on spectrum currently used by conventional analogue radiomicrophones and increasing demand for more channels the Agency has commissioned a study into digital techniques for radiomicrophones. The aim was to identify spectrally efficient and robust techniques for radiomicrophone channels. The study was completed in April 1998 and covers key criteria for digital radiomicrophones, audio coding, error correction and modulation techniques. The solutions proposed employ techniques, schemes and algorithms which are readily available and not power hungry in comparison to present equipment.
