Band Realignment 1st Project Board

Main Points:

Research to be conducted on the economic impact of the realignment before a decision can be made on its implementation.

Five spectrum management principles were discussed and a survey will be conducted on how we would like to see the band in ten years from now.

Project structure to be divided in two parts: firstly the audit and formulation of band plan, secondly, the implementation of the plan.

Project structure to be separated into two Working Groups: an Industry Working Group and a Spectrum Managers Working Group.

Details of the project to be forwarded to the SMAG secretary.

The DTI Solicitors were contacted to establish the legal position of the forthcoming band realignment.

An amended publicity notice to be circulated to licence holders as soon as possible.
