|
![]()
Foreword by Jim Norton Chief Executive of the Radiocommunications Agency
This third edition of the Spectrum Strategy continues and extends the Agencys commitment to communicate with you, our customers. It is a living document that we revise annually and it will grow and develop shaped by your comments. This edition includes a more complete account of developments across the various sectors of radio use, more detailed tables covering the whole spectrum to 105 GHz, and spectrum management objectives for each sector. Additionally work of the newly formed Economics and Statistics Unit is included with an account of the latest Economic Impact study. In future Strategies this area will be extended in line with the increasing importance of economic and statistical information to spectrum management.
I urge you to look not only at your own areas of interest but to delve more widely, you may be surprised at the many developments across the whole field of radiocommunications. If you expect to develop new types of service, or pioneer new uses of radio, please let us know. It is vital that we are able to plan together and ensure that the necessary allocations are made - including any reorganisation of spectrum required - and to have the opportunity to develop common Europe-wide markets. Whatever your thoughts on this Strategy please let us know your views.
