Within the last five years she has served as Chair of 'Make Votes Count', a cross-party organisations supporting reform of the voting system, as Assistant Secretary of the Society of Labour Lawyers and as Treasurer of the Socialist Societies. She holds no other public appointments. Kate lives in North London with her partner, Dr Jonathan Scott, a consultant psychiatrist in Ealing, and their young son, Ben. One of the key reasons why Kate loves London is the range of vibrant and diverse cultural activities available, and the fact that restaurants in Islington now cater for children.
