Restricted
Services include low-powered radio licences for a particular establishment
or other defined location or for a particular event. These embrace long-term
hospital and student services; and short-term trials i.e.
ahead of possible permanent licences to test and/or demonstrate demand,
and special event stations. Restricted Service Licences (RSLs)
are issued at the Authoritys discretion, subject to frequency availability
and adherence to various specified basic rules and technical criteria.
The following
RSL lists are available:
Current
list
List of short-term RSLs which are on the
air currently. Updated weekly.
Future
RSLs
List of short-term RSLs which are likely
to come on the air in the next few months. An entry on this list does
not guarantee that the service will come on the air.
Sporting
RSLs
List of RSLs which broadcast at sporting
events. These are licensed for non-continous broadcasting over the season
of the sport.
Long
term RSLs
List of all long term RSLs licensed by
the Radio Authority.
