The aim of the 3G Auction Site is to provide visitors with
up-to-date information about the progress of the auction.
It was developed by Radio
Spectrum International Consulting Ltd, a partnership between the DTI's Radiocommunications Agency and CMG PLC.
Navigation
Use the links on the left menu bar to view screens showing the
progress of the auction. You may also use the links on the main 3G page to take you to auction rules and background information,
and a summary of bidding.
To return to the main 3G Page at any time, click on the 'RA 3G Auction' logo at the top
left of the left menu.
Using the buttons on the screens
You may scroll through graphs and reports using the buttons above the graph/report. By default, you are taken to the most recent information when you enter a particular screen.
If you are looking at rounds which have involved a tie, the Tie Information button will enable, which allows you to see all reports concerning the resolution of the tie.
Help
If you need help whilst using any of the pages, click on the
icon. A box
will appear with instructions on using the page.
Ways to view Auction Information
The table below illustrates the various options:
| Round by Round | The most detailed auction information, in text format. You may choose whether to look at the status before a round, or after a round. For rounds with tied bids, you may look at the tied round reports. | |
| Round Summaries | Bar charts illustrating the status of the auction, current bidders and prices, after each round. | |
| Licence Summaries | Bar charts illustrating the history of bidding on a licence. The charts show the price for each licence on a round by round basis. | |
| Text Summaries | Auction information in a summarised text format. The summary reports here show the status at the end of each round. For rounds with tied bids, you may look at the tied round summary. | |
| Total Bids Summary | Line graph illustrating the growth of total bids round by round. The graph shows the sum of all bids at each round of the auction. | |
| Daily Results | All the above options, showing the state of the auction at the end of a day. |
If you are using a small screen, you may
wish to re-size the report/graph frames to fit your particular screen size.
To do this, move your mouse over the
bar between the report (or graph), and the top frame with buttons. The cursor appearance
will change.
By clicking on the bar, and holding, you may
move the bar up and down.
