A Recess Day has been called by NTL Mobile. There will therefore be no further Rounds of the Auction either today 25 April or tomorrow 26 April. Arrangements for Round 150 will be announced in due course.

25 APRIL 2000: 11:40

Round 146, which started at 09:00 this morning, was abandoned as a result of a telecommunications failure. The failure has now been rectified and Round 146 re-started at 11:35.

19 APRIL 2000: 16.00

The Secretary of State, after consulting bidders, has called a recess day for Thursday 20 April. A pre-round notice for round 146 has been issued setting the start of that round for 09.00 Tuesday 25 April.

17 APRIL 2000: 15:00

Following the withdrawal of Telefonica UK Limited from the auction in round 133 bidders are being consulted again on the size of minimum raises in future rounds. There will be a short pause until that consultation has taken place and decisions have been taken in the light of remaining bidders' views.

13 APRIL 2000: 10:00

Following the withdrawal of WorldCom Wireless (UK) Limited from the auction in round 121 bidders are being consulted again on the size of minimum raises in future rounds. There will be a short pause - probably until later this morning - until that consultation has taken place and decisions have been taken in the light of remaining bidders' views.

6 APRIL 2000: 15.00

A recess day has been requested by Telefonica. There will be no further rounds before Monday 10 April. A pre-round notice for round 107 will be issued in due course.

4 APRIL 2000: 15:00

Following the withdrawal of two further bidders today (SpectrumCo and Epsilon) from the auction, bidders are being consulted on the size of minimum raises in future rounds. There will be a short pause until that consultation has taken place and decisions have been taken in the light of remaining bidders' views. There will be no further rounds today.

3 APRIL 2000: 12:45

Following the withdrawal of Crescent Wireless Limited from the auction in round 94 bidders are being consulted on the size of minimum raises in future rounds. There will be a short pause - probably of a few hours - until that consultation has taken place and decisions have been taken in the light of remaining bidders' views.
