SINR distributions

The following 'zipped' Excel Workbooks contain the output Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) distributions for the LTE networks we have modelled in support of our proposed mobile spectrum competition assessment. See Annex 8 of the consultation for details of how these distributions have been generated and the area of the country they have been generated for.

Each Workbook contains a series of SINR distributions relevant to a particular frequency band (6 files in total, two for each band).

Each Workbook is split into a number of different Worksheets where each Worksheet contains SINR distributions for a particular (equivalent UK) network size:

- The first file for each frequency contains data for the following network sizes: 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 8000, 9000 and 10000 sites.
- The second file for each frequency contains data for the following network sizes: 11000, 12000, 13000, 14000, 15000, 16000, 17000, 18000, 19000 and 20000 sites.

Each Worksheet contains 10 columns of data where each column represents an ordered distribution of SINR values for a particular network loading (15%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60% 65%, 70%, 75%, 80% and 85%).

The frequency band is specified in the Excel Workbook file name, the network size is specified in the Worksheet name and the network loading is specified in the column heading.
